At McDonald’s, it’s not uncommon to see new burgers appear and disappear from the menu on a regular basis. If some products we miss a lot (also known as the apple bill), others do not mark us more than that. While the golden M brand has done away with one of its legendary burgers after 42 years of existence, McDonald’s now brings us a brand new recipe that is tempting to say the least!
For this latest gourmet creation, McDonald’s has revisited a famous Tex-Mex dish: the quesadilla! This snack, very popular in Mexico and throughout Central America, consists of an omelette and liquid cheese. It can also be combined with other ingredients. And that’s what McDonald’s did with its McQuesadilla! So are we on Mexico time?
The McQuesadilla, McDonald’s new vegetarian recipe
For its brand new “burger” (to be honest, we can’t talk about a hamburger…), McDonald’s has opted for a vegetarian recipe! On the menu of the day: a toasted omelet with melted cheese garnished with sweet peppers, salad and fried onions. But the fast food giant has thought of seasoning its recipe with a very generous and very gourmet hot sauce! Don’t worry, your taste buds won’t light up after biting into the McQuesadilla, we’re not at the top of the Scoville scale either.
In terms of quantity, the McQuesadilla may seem “light” at first glance. However, no disappointment with the taste, it is still very tasty! Available as a menu or solo, you won’t have much time to (re)discover it, so don’t delay! And yes, McDonald’s has no plans to include the McQuesadilla on its permanent menu, but we expect this limited edition to be renewed periodically.
