Here’s why you should eat a green salad before every meal

For losing weight, we know this all too well: we must eat a balanced diet every day and practice regular physical activity. But some small daily reflections can also make a difference. Among them: eating a green salad before the main meal.

Why should you eat raw vegetables at the start of a meal?

Eat a salad before meals can help us lose weight. Because ? Simply because lettuce, lamb’s lettuce, arugula or baby spinach are excellent sources of fiber. And the fibers promote the feeling of satiety. They also help reduce the overall caloric value of a meal by about 12%, as highlighted in a scientific study published in 2007 in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association.
Therefore, savoring a small salad of raw vegetables as a starter can be a good solution to fill yourself with fiber and vitamins and avoid cravings for too much food.
